Whispering Firs Golf Course

For those wishing to participate in the Order of Daedalians Golf Tournament, be prepared to leave the hotel at 7:30 am, Thursday, May 7th! The 2009 Tournament will be held at the Whispering Firs Golf Course on McChord AFB. Whispering Firs was designed by Bob Baldock and opened in 1962. It is a fairly demanding, beautifully maintained 18-hole located in the midst of the Base. The course plays 6,646 yards from the longest tees for a par of 72 and has a rating of 71.8. Lunch and beverages are available at Habanero’s Restaurant, located in the pro-shop. Due to security policies, all players must have a military ID or obtain a base pass from the McChord AFB Visitor’s Center at the Main Gate.
